Virat Kohli is facing heat after he argued with an Australian journalist over filming his family at the airport in Melbourne. He has been called a bully by a reporter after his conversation with a female journalist went viral. The incident happened at the airport when Kohli landed in Melbourne along with his wife and two children.
Kohli had been urging journalists to refrain from clicking the pictures or recording videos of his kids. However, he can’t stop the Australian media as there is no rule in place in this part of the world.
A female journalist tried to take a video of the player with Anushka Sharma, Vamika, and Akaay. Kohli didn’t like it and told the person to delete the videos and images.
Nine sports reporter Tony Jones launched a scathing attack on the visiting batter, calling him a bully for his behavior with a Channel 7 reporter at the Melbourne airport.
“Nat was carrying out her duties as a reporter. The journalists often visit the airport to get footage of the celebrities. Virat Kohli is a global superstar in the world of cricket, and naturally, the focus is on him. But he took umbrage to the fact that the attention was on him.
“I saw the footage of the incident. Virat Kohli stood over this girl Nat, who is five foot one or two. He berated her. You are nothing but a bully, Virat.”
The fourth Test match of the series will start on December 26.
