Hong Kong batted well against Sri Lanka in their third and last group stage match of the Asia Cup 2025. After two batting collapses against Afghanistan and Bangladesh, the minnow nation showed their class with the bat, posting 149/4 in 20 overs.
Anshy Rath and Zeeshan Ali added 41 runs for the first wicket. Anshy amassed 48 runs off 46 balls, laced with 4 boundaries. Zeeshan managed 23 runs off 17 balls, with the help of 2 fours.
Nizakat Khan was the best performer, accumulating 52 runs off 38 balls, including 4 boundaries and 2 sixes.
Dushmantha Chameera was spot on with the ball. The Sri Lankan bowler took two wickets, conceding 29 runs in four overs.
