He said: “Strasbourg is often called the ‘Capital of Christmas’ for its enchanting atmosphere during the festive season.
“The Christmas market here, dating back to 1570, is one of the oldest in Europe and features over 300 stalls offering handmade crafts, decorations, and local delicacies like mulled wine.
“The stunning Strasbourg Cathedral becomes the backdrop for festive lights, and the entire town is full of magical festive decor. Its historic charm and Christmas spirit make it a must for festive travellers.”
Strasbourg’s Old Town, also known as La Petite France, is beautifully adorned with Christmas lights, creating a fairy-tale ambiance, and the giant Christmas tree in Place Kléber, one of the largest in France, is a must-see, with thousands of sparkling lights.
Strasbourg’s medieval architecture, including the stunning Strasbourg Cathedral, adds a magical backdrop to the Christmas season.
Walking through the city’s cobblestone streets, with the scent of pine trees and fresh pastries in the air, feels like stepping into a Christmas postcard.
Visitors highlighted the beauty of this city during this season in a series of flattering reviews posted on Tripadvisor.

“Most houses are decorated with pine and teddy bears, which adds to the wonderful nights of the town. Not to be missed!”
L’aquila added: “The market presents a combined culture of France and Germany. I recommend all to see this market and enjoy.”
David typed: “Beautiful city. If you enjoy walking then you can walk around the whole historic centre of the city and take in the several markets at different locations.
