Former India National Cricket Team cricketer Ajay Jadeja has said that new head coach Gautam Gambhir will prefer very agressive approach and he will do what it takes to be successful across formats in international cricket. He feels Gambhir will not allow Bangladesh to dominate India in the upcoming two-Test series.
The first contest will be in Chennai on September 19. After losing the ODI series against Sri Lanka, the Men in Blue will be eager to return to winning ways.
“His approach will be aggressive. There will never be a dull moment with Gambhir around. He will try different things and the veteran will do what he believes is right,” Jadeja told the media at the Cricket Association of Bengal’s annual award ceremony.
“He (Gambhir) will not sit down and let the things happen. Gambhir will try things like we saw Suryakumar Yadav becoming skipper in T20Is. I am looking forward to the excitement we are going to get in 2024,” Jadeja added.
Jadeja was Afghanistan’s mentor during the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Afghanistan defeated England, Sri Lanka and England in the tournament.
“India are better than Pakistan”: Ajay Jadeja
Ajay Jadeja said that Bangladesh have no chance to beat India in the upcoming series. “There is a difference between India and Pakistan. Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 2-0 but they can’t repeat the same result against the Rohit Sharma-led team. The Indian team is far superior,” he said.
