India will not have an easy outing against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024. Ravi Shastri, the team’s head coach in the back-to-back series win Down Under, has told the players to bring their A-game into play as soon as possible; otherwise, Australia will be unbeatable.
“It is going to be tough for sure. I found out on my three tours as a coach that you have to give your best from the start. Your A-game has to come to the park early if you want to put Australia under pressure.
“Don’t give them an inch otherwise they would not allow to comeback into the series. There is no other way yo can play against them. You have to be good or you won’t get an inch,” Ravi Shastri said on Fox Cricket.
He also discussed ways to win over the media in Australia. Team India will play five Tests, with the first one starting on November 22.
“You should know what to expect from the media as it will back the home team. But if you play hard and break the confidence of the hosts, the media will respect you,” he added.
India need to beat Australia 4-0 to qualify for the final of the World Test Championship.
