India defeated Sri Lanka in the Super Over in third T20I to complete a 3-0 whitewash on Tuesday, July 30 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. The Men in Blue managed 137/9 in their allotted 20 overs with Shubman (39 off 37), Riyan Parag (26 off 18) and Washington Sundar (25 off 18) making valuable contributions.
In reply, Sri Lanka accumulated 137/8 in their allotted 20 overs as Suryakumar Yadav (two wickets) and Rinku Singh (two wickets) restricted the rivals.
In the Super over, Washington Sundar conceded just two runs and dismissed Kusal Perera and Pathum Nissanka in three balls. In reply, captain Suryakumar Yadav hit a four off the first ball to win the match.
