Mumbai Indians’batters went hard against Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowlers while chasing 278 runs in 20 overs but the total proved to much for the visiting team. SRH won the game by 31 runs to register their first win in the Indian Premier League 2024.
Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir made contributions with the bat but they were always behind the asking rate. Mumbai managed 246/5 in 20 overs.
Earlier, Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head hit sensational fifties to take the total to 277/3 in 20 overs. MI have suffered two consecutive defeats.
