With so much to see, Britons might be left struggling when it comes to choosing a holiday destination. But a gorgeous road trip route in southern Spain can help tourists tick off lots of sites in one holiday.

Travelling from Malaga to Seville by car or the other way is a fascinating road trip which takes in beaches, history and city life.

Flights to Malaga are reasonably cheap from the UK and while in the sunny city, tourists can check out the Picasso gallery, relax on one of the nearby beaches or marvel at the Alcazaba.

From Malaga, it’s around two hours drive to Granada, home to one of the world’s most incredible historic sites.

The breathtaking Alhambra palace is one of the world’s finest examples of historic Islamic architecture.

Granada was recently named as Europe’s best cultural city break, so it’s a must on this road trip itinerary.

From Granada, it’s another two hours drive to Cordoba, one of Andalucia’s most fascinating destinations.

The pretty city is known for its courtyard gardens which tourists will spot on a walk through the Old Town.

Cordoba’s Great Mosque is also an UNESCO Heritage site while the city also has a reputation for flamenco dancing.

From Cordoba, it’s just over an hour and a half to Seville, another Spanish city that’s easily reached on a flight from the UK.

‌A gorgeous destination, Seville is also Europe’s most walkable holiday destination and its squares are ideal for people watching.

Tourists can spend as long as they want in each of the cities or factor in some beach time in Malaga.

If you can’t drive or prefer to sit back on holiday, this trip is also easily achievable on Spain’s efficient train network.
