Everything is going right for Sarfaraz Khan at the moment. He scored 150 runs in the second innings of the opening test against New Zealand in Bengaluru.
Two days after a memorable game, he announced the birth of his first child. On October 21, the right-handed batter took to social media to reveal that he had been blessed with a baby boy.
“It’s baby boy,” he wrote.
Sarfaraz Khan married Romana Zahoor on August 6, 2023, in Kashmir.
Before the Test series against New Zealand, he scored a double hundred for Mumbai in the Irani Cup clash against the Rest of India. Meanwhile, after years of hard work, the young batter was given a chance to make his Test debut against England earlier this year. He played three matches and scored 200 runs, laced with three fifties.
Despite his magnificent display, Sarfaraz was benched for the two-match series against Bangladesh to include KL Rahul in the Playing XI. However, with Shubman Gill down with a stiff neck before the Bengaluru Test against the Kiwis, Sarfaraz was recalled to the Playing XI.
He could once again miss out on the second Test in Pune, with Gill ready to return to the team and the management ready to give struggling Rahul another chance.
