Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League 2025. “We’ve decided to bowl first. The pitch looks good and shouldn’t change much. Batting second will help us assess the game and the conditions more clearly. We’re not focusing too much on the venue and our main goal is to play good cricket. Shepherd replaces Livi in the lineup,” Patidar said.

Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer would have bowled first as well.

“We were also keen on bowling first. Ultimately, you always have to adapt according to the situation. It’s important to take our time and observe how the ball is behaving. This is our first afternoon match, so we’re aiming to set a good total. The support we received, particularly in the last game at this stadium, was amazing. We’re going with the same team,” Shreyas Iyer said.
