India captain Rohit Sharma reacted to the reports of rifts between the Australian players ahead of the second Test, starting at the Adelaide Oval on December 6. Rohit missed the series opener due to the birth of his second child but the visiting team won the contest by 295 runs at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
Josh Hazlewood’s comments on the Australian batters after Day 3 went viral. With the hosts chasing 534 and being three down for just 15 runs heading into Day 4, Hazlewood was asked about the plans to win the match.
The pacer urged the journalist to pose the same question to the batters. Following this, several former Australian and Indian players suggested a divided dressing room.
“I have no idea what is going on. I don’t get involved in those external things.How I can say anything? I don’t know what kind of talks are going on in their team. But the environment is superb in the Indian dressing room, which we want to enjoy,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hazlewood has been ruled out of the day-night Test with a side strain and Australia have included Scott Boland in their playing XI.
Earlier, Pat Cummins slammed the commentators for their false statements on the unity of the team. He accused them of going after his team following Australia’s defeat in Perth.
