It seems Rohit Sharma is batting on a different pitch, while the other Indian batters are playing on a different track. The two ODIs against Sri Lanka has exposed the star players. Rohit scored an aggressive fifty in the opening game but the visiting team couldn’t complete the chase of 230 runs.
The contest ended in a tie. The second encounter had a similar story, with Rohit again blazing all guns but his teammates failed to carry on against Jeffrey Vandersay.
Rohit’s 64 runs off 44 deliveries were laced with 5 fours and 4 sixes. It was his 121st fifty-plus score in international cricket. He surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s record.
