Former Pakistan batter Basit Ali has hailed Team India’s batters and head coach Gautam Gambhir. He mentioned that players like Rinku Singh and Nitish Kumar Reddy will bring positive results for the India National Cricket Team.
“Nitish Kumar Reddy’s sixes should be ‘Athhe’ and not sixes. Rinku Singh is Michael Bevan. Gautam Gambhir has been a success, and he is taking all the right steps as a head coach. Even if young players flop, Gautam will back them,’” he said.
The third and final T20I of the series will be played on October 12 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Basit pointed out that India have achieved success despite resting Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
“Pakistan cricket should follow Team India’s thought process, but unfortunately, it is missing. India are without Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, but Pakistan’s players are not rested. Please learn something from India.”
India scored 221/9 in 20 overs, with Nitish scoring 74 runs off 34 balls and Rinku amassing 53 runs off 29 deliveries.
Nitish hit seven sixes and four boundaries. Rinku struck five boundaries and three sixes.
The Suryakumar Yadav-led team then restricted Bangladesh to 135/9 and won the contest by 86 runs
