RCB star Virat Kohli gets a chuckle from Mr. Nags in hilarious social media video
Expect nothing but puns, laughs, and sly remarks when Virat Kohli meets Mr. Nags, the character portrayed by TV host Danish Sait. The pair shot a recent episode for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru social media handles.
In the first few seconds of the video, Nags, in his typically witty and playful manner, questioned Kohli whether he was friends with him because he is a regular guy and not a pundit. Kohli laughed with him, realizing the pun intended.
But the next question baffled the RCB icon, who has featured in many such RCB insider videos with Nags.
“Virat, let’s talk about one of your friends. not mine, but yours. He mentioned many positive things about you… Sunil,” Mr. Nags remarked with a sly smile.
“Who?” Kohli replied incoherently. “Chhetri,” Nags responded. Then they both started laughing out loud.
Nags’s clever mention of ‘Sunil’ in his remarks was a major factor in the chuckle. The pun behind it quickly became obvious to cricket enthusiasts.
Not too long ago, legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar took aim at Virat Kohli for his response to those who had criticized his strike rate.
The harsh comment went viral on social media. In his next game, Kohli answered with the bat, hammering 92 off 47 balls against Punjab Kings. He then threw in a cheeky jab at strike rate following that vicious knock.
This IPL, Kohli has been in terrific form. With 661 runs in 13 games, he leads the Orange Cap by a wide margin. In his 17-year IPL career, his strike rate of 155.16 is also the best to date.
On Saturday, RCB will square up against Chennai Super Kings in do or die game. To make the playoffs, they must defeat the five-time champions by a wide margin.
