Punjab Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by 11 runs in their first match of the Indian Premier League 2025. Chasing 244 runs, the hosts managed 232/5 in 20 overs. Despite Sai Sudharsan (74), Shubman Gill (54), and Shubman Gill (33) good batting, the 2023 champions fell short.
Earlier, Shreyas Iyer struck 97 not out off 42 balls, with the help of 9 sixes and 5 fours to take the team’s total to 243/5 in 20 overs. Shashank Singh (44* off 16 balls) and Priyansh Arya (47 runs off 23 balls) also batted well for PBKS. Sai Kishore took three wickets for GT.
