Former England captain Michael Vaughan said that Pat Cummins will be remembered like Glenn McGrath and Dennis Lillee. Cummins took 10 wickets in the second Test as Australia defeated Pakistan by 79 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Vaughan lauded the Australian captain and said that he expects Cummins to get better with age.
“He will be talked of in the same breath as McGrath and Lillee. He will get better in the future,” Michael Vaughan said on Fox Sports.
Former Australia cricketer Mark Waugh said that Cummins was almost out of cricket for six years due to an injury at the start of his career.
“He was not lucky at the start of his career. He was injured and even failed to pick up wickets because of his short line and length. He worked hard to bounce back and hasn’t looked back,” Mark Waugh said.
