Team India’s batter Rinku Singh wants to join Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) if Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) don’t retain him for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Rinku made his IPL debut for KKR in 2018 and became a household name after hitting Gujarat Titans’ Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes in 2023.
The southpaw played his first game for the Men in Blue against Ireland in Dublin on August 18, 2023. He made his ODI debut against South Africa on December 19, 2023. In his conversation with Sports Tak, Rinku Singh said that he would love to play for RCB.
“I would love to play for RCB because Virat Kohli is there,” Rinku said. He also lauded Suryakumar Yadav for his captaincy.
“SKY is a good captain and remains calm. He doesn’t talk much,” he added.
Rinku was one of India’s travelling reserves during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in the United States of America and the West Indies.
He didn’t do much in the T20I series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
Rinku will be seen in action in the UP T20 League, where he is the captain of the Meerut Mavericks.
