Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is unsatisfied after winning the two back-to-back ICC titles. The Men in Blue won the 2024 T20 World Cup and the Champions Trophy 2025, with Hardik playing a crucial role.
He scored 99 runs and took four wickets in the recently concluded global tournament in Pakistan and Dubai. The sub-continent nation defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the final.
Pandya said his goal is to win tournaments and add 5-6 more titles. “It has always been about winning titles. I said I was not done when we won the 2024 T20 World Cup. I still need 5-6 more trophies. I am happy that one more has been added to the trophy cabinet,’ Pandya was quoted as saying by the ICC.
Hardik recalled India’s defeat against Pakistan in the final of the 2017 Champions Trophy.
‘I couldn’t finish the job in 2017. I am glad that I completed the task in 2025. I am also a Champions Trophy winner, and it sounds good,” he added.
He will now lead Mumbai Indias in the Indian Premier League 2025. He is suspended for the season’s first game due to a slow over-rate offence in the tournament’s previous edition.
