The luxury ski destination is owned by Vail Resorts, who paid a staggering $1.39 billion (£1.09 billion) for Whistler Blackcomb in 2016.

However, Harry and Meghan may not have the time to enjoy the expensive slopes as they’ll be busy making public appearances throughout February 14-16 to support the upcoming games.

Thankfully, there’s still plenty for the couple to do during their downtime that travellers who aren’t fans of adventure sports can take advantage of.

Despite being one of Canada’s most popular ski resorts, there’s plenty to do in the summer months as Whistler also boasts high-end food and drink, relaxing lodges and a scenic hiking trail.
