Bangladesh defeated Pakistan 2-0 in the recently concluded series. The result was massive, considering it was Bangladesh’s first-ever win over the Men in Green in the longest format. Pakistan couldn’t do much despite playing at home. Bangladesh will now face India in two Tests. India are unbeaten in 17 Test series at home and have named a strong squad for the opening game in Chennai.
Bangladesh star batter Litton Das said that Bangladesh should stop thinking about their victory in Pakistan.
“It is important to leave the Pakistan series behind, and the media should also help a bit. It would be better if you didn’t talk too much about our performances and win in Pakistan. There is a big series coming up against India. For me, the Pakistan series is in the past, but we gained confidence from that,” Litton Das told reporters.
“India are always a better side at home. I wouldn’t say that it is going to be extremely challenging or very easy,” he added.
According to him, the biggest challenge would be to get used to SG ball.
“We rarely play with that ball. The players are working hard. It is tough to bat against the new Kookaburra ball, but it becomes easier when it gets old. With SG, you can score runs on the new ball, but it becomes difficult when the cherry becomes old.”
Litton also revealed what Bangladesh needed to do to beat India. “We will have to win sessions as it is Test cricket. If we don’t play well in a particular session, it is important to come back in the next one.”
