Allan Donald is sure of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s success in the upcoming two-Test series against South Africa. Kohli and Sharma will be seen in action for the first time after the ICC World Cup 2023. They skipped the one-day internationals against the Proteas to spend time with their families after the hectic global tournament.
The two are preparing hard for the red-ball matches as India haven’t won a Test series in the Island Nation. While Virat has an exception record in South Africa, Rohit has been India’s top performer in the last few Test series.
Speaking to RevSportz, Donald said Virat and Rohit are legends and eager to go hard at South Africa.
“Virat Kohli doesn’t need any motivation as he is already motivated enough to give his best. I know him, having worked with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). They are absolute legends of the game and will come hard at South Africa on their last tour.
“They are the biggest threat and leaders of the group. Virat, Rohit have fans over here and the two will go after the bowlers,” he said.
