A holidaymaker has shared the ‘reality’ of vacationing in Ibiza, including the lofty price of water.

Influencer Olly Bowman, better known on social media as Mr Melk (@ollybowman), recently enjoyed a holiday on the Spanish island with friends. It was his first time on the island, as he explains in another video shared to Instagram. He revealed how he passed through Barajas airport before waiting three hours for a drink and a swim at Platja de ses Figueretes, where he was joined by pals.

First Olly, who is best-known for his dance videos, spoke about the prices of the drinks. He said: “30 euros for a drink, bargain. 14 euros (£11.80) for water.” “Oh, my god!” his friends could be heard in the background as he held up a bottle of water.

He then explains what transport is like at the popular bucket list destination. While those of us based in major cities might be accustomed to ordering a taxi through an app to whisk us across town, according to Olly, he was unable to do this.

“Uber doesn’t work here, so you just have to wait on the side of the road for a taxi,” he said. This is no longer the case however, as Uber launched on the island in late 2023.

The video then pans to one of his friends sleeping on a restaurant table before cutting to the group of mates wearing the same beach outfit: a leopard turbo swimming costume. “Everybody wears the same swimmers,” Olly joked.

The influencer then said pre-drinks – known as ‘pres’ – would go on until about 1am, when it was time to start dancing. When they finally arrived at their venue for the night, he advised followers to “wear earplugs because it’s too loud.”
