Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head cleared the air after their argument during Australia’s first innings on Day 2 of the Adelaide Test. While Head abused the Indian pacer, Siraj gave him a fiery send-off. The two spoke on Day 3 when the Indian player came out to bat.
The right-arm seamer resides in Hyderabad, a city that is home to Travis Head’s IPL franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad.
While the Indian fans are going after Head after he lied in a press conference that he said well bowled to the Indian player, Australians are backing their player. Harbhajan Singh lauded the two for their verbal slugfest, although he took Siraj’s side.
And now Deep Dasgupta has demanded for more arguments between the players. “I am all for these kinds of fights. You need heated arguments and aggression in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
“The matches between India and Australia have to be heated. A series without any aggresive incident is not what we want,” Deep Dasgupta said on Star Sports.
Meanwhile, Head had the last laugh as he took Siraj’s catch to end Team India’s second innings, with Australia completing the chase of 19 runs without losing a wicket. Travis, who scored 140 runs off 141 balls, was named the Player of the Match.
