Dhruv Jurel, the wicket-keeper of the Indian Test team, dedicated his Player of the Match award from the fourth Test against England to his parents. The right-handed batter posted a picture on his Instagram channel on Friday, thanking his parents for their support and backing throughout his cricketing journey.
Jurel can be seen sitting with his father and mother. His parents hold the ‘Player of the Match’ and ‘Smart Saver of the Match’ awards, respectively.
In the ongoing Test series against England, Jurel has been impressive with the bat and behind the stumps. He scored 90 and 39 not out across both innings during the Ranchi Test.
In the fourth innings of the previous game, he added 72 runs with Shubman Gill to take India to a win by 5 wickets. India is 3-1 ahead with one game left.
Former players Sunil Gavaskar and Anil Kumble have compared Jurel to MS Dhoni.
The fifth Test between India and England will start on March 7,
