KL Rahul, the Indian wicket-keeper batter who Lucknow Super Giants did not retain, went to Delhi Capitals for 14 INR crore. The right-handed batter is a captaincy material, having previously led Punjab Kings and LSG. Despite his strike rate issues, the batter is still considered a valuable player in the shortest format of the game.
He has scored over 500 runs in an IPL season on several occasions. Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru were interested in his services, but the two pulled out. Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings tried their luck for the star batter, with the former winning the final bid for INR 14 crore.
England all-rounder Liam Livingstone was in demand, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings competed for his name. The former signed him for INR 8.75 crore. Punjab Kings refused to use RTM for the player, and he will play for Bengaluru in the 18th season of the tournament.
