New Zealand youngster Rachin Ravindra, who was bought by Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2024, has been rewarded by the apex body of international cricket.
Ravindra went past South Africa pacer Gerald Coetzee, Sri Lanka fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka and India batter Yashasvi Jaiswal to win the prize. He scored 578 runs, laced with 3 hundreds in the ODI World Cup.

“I was satisfied with my performance last year and it is a very special feeling to get rewarded by the ICC. Playing in different conditions and performing for New Zealand was a thrilling experience,” Rachin Ravindra said.

The southpaw scored 820 runs in one-day internationals at an average of 41 and a strike rate of 108.03. He also took 18 wickets.
He accumulated 91 runs in T20Is at an average of 18.20 and a strike rate of 133.82. The all-rounder dismissed 5 batters.
