Canada defeated Ireland by 10 runs in Match 13 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. The pitch in New York played better from the previous two games as Canada posted 137/7 in 20 overs.
Chasing 138 for their first win, the Irish side managed 125/7, falling short by 12 runs. George Dockrell (30 not out) and Mark Adair (34) tried their best but their efforts went in vain. For Canada, Jeremy Gordon and Dilon Heyliger took two wickets each.
Earlier, Nicholas Kirton (49) and Shreyas Movva (37) were the top run-getters for the Canadian side.
Craig Young and Barry McCarthy dismissed two batters each.
