BCCI announces India ‘A’ squad for England tour; Karun Nair, Ishan Kishan included
India A will travel to England later this month for a two unofficial Tests, and the BCCI has announced a strong squad. Abhimanyu Easwaran is the captain of the team that will take on the England Lions. Karun Nair and Ishan Kishan have been included in the group.
Dhruv Jurel is the vice-captain. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who impressed in Australia and Sarfaraz Khan have been selected. Shardul Thakur and Ruturaj Gaikwad will add depth to the batting and bowling departments.
According to the Indian Cricket Board, Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan will play in the second fixture.
The two four-day matches will take place at Canterbury on May 30 and at Northampton on June 6. These matches will help the players to impress the selectors ahead of the five-match Test series against England.
