43 runs in one over! Leicestershire’s Louis Kimber smashes a record over against Ollie Robinson

Ollie Robinson is in the news for conceding 43 runs in the County Championship Division Two match between Sussex and Leicestershire. Louis Kimber went after the English bowler. Kimber hit the first ball for a six. The second one was smashed for a four and it was a no-ball, meaning another six runs. According to the rules in the County Championship, two runs are added to the total if a bowler oversteps.

The next two balls went for a boundary and a six. Kimber hit a four on the fourth delivery. Ollie delivered second no-ball of the over and Kimber accepted the favour by picking up another boundary. He had to re-bowl but there was no respite as the batter added four more to his individual tally. The sixth delivery crossed the boundary rope again and it happened to be the third no-ball.

Robinson finally managed to get his line and length tight and gave away 1 run on the final ball.
