Their knocks played a crucial role in Mumbai’s 59-run win and quantification to the playoffs. SKY was named the Player of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 73 runs off 43 balls, with the help of 7 fours and sixes. Yadav batted cautiously before exploding in the last two overs.
On the other hand, Naman managed 20 not out in 8 deliveries, laced with 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner took three wickets each to restrict the Capitals to 121 runs in 18.2 overs. Meanwhile, SKY opened up on his wife’s contribution in POTM award. “My wife told me a beautiful story before the match. She said that it has been 13 games but I haven’t won the POTM award. She pointed out that I have won all the other awards. This motivated me to give my best,” Suryakumar Yadav said.
