Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir added 57 runs in 21 balls to take the Mumbai Indians total to 180/5 against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2025. Their knocks played a crucial role in Mumbai’s 59-run win and quantification to the playoffs. SKY was named the Player of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 73 runs off 43 balls, with the help of 7 fours and sixes. Yadav batted cautiously before exploding in the last two overs.
On the other hand, Naman managed 20 not out in 8 deliveries, laced with 2 fours and 2 sixes.
Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner took three wickets each to restrict the Capitals to 121 runs in 18.2 overs. Meanwhile, SKY opened up on his wife’s contribution in POTM award. “My wife told me a beautiful story before the match. She said that it has been 13 games but I haven’t won the POTM award. She pointed out that I have won all the other awards. This motivated me to give my best,” Suryakumar Yadav said.
“She enjoys whenever I am rewarded for my performances. We will celebrate once we had back to the hotel,” he added.
The right-handed batter has been clinical with the bat in the ongoing edition, accumulating 583 runs in 13 matches. He has hit 4 fifties, 58 fours, 30 sixes and his runs have come at a strike rate of 170.46.
