Virat Kohli loves playing against Australia and has an excellent track record against them. He will travel to the country along with the other Indian players for a five-match Test series in November. India have been winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the last 10 years, with two successful tours Down Under. The star recently explained what makes Australia the most dangerous team in the world.
In 25 Tests against Australia, Virat has scored 2,042 runs at an average of 47.48, with eight hundreds.
“They are a competitive team as 11 people are on the same page, and everyone knows what is going on in the game, and if you give them an inch, they will capitalize. My motivation increases against them as they are always in the contest at all times. I need to elevate myself to beat them. They won’t give you a chance to come back into the game if you are not at your best,” Virat Kohli said on Star Sports.
The opening Test will start on November 22 in Perth.
“I have always taken my game to a different level against them. I am very competitive, and if you want to go against the rivals, you will have to find better and new ways. Every team has a different style of playing. I like the intense manner in which Australia plays the game, and I want to take my game to the next level,” he added.
Virat Kohli will be under pressure as he has been a walking wicket in Test cricket. He has failed miserably in the last few Test series, and the pattern of his dismissals has been questioned by fans and former players.
