You’ve Never Seen A Honda With This Many Wings Outside Of A Bird Sanctuary

You don’t often see a Honda Accord that looks like it wandered out of a low-budget sci-fi movie shot in the parking lot of an AutoZone. But back in October last year, one such car in Arizona grabbed our attention: an Accord decked out with wings, splitters, and canards in every direction. At the time, it was easily the most absurdly modified Honda we’d ever come across.

Since then, the owner has doubled down, adding even more aftermarket accessories and the car now sits somewhere between a Transformer caught mid-morph and a fast-moving cry for help.

In March, the car was snapped by Twitter user skeletonyuth with many more wings than late last year. More recently, it’s been caught by a Redditor, and the list of parts fitted has now grown even longer. If its owner goes on like this, in the not-too-distant future the parts added on may render the car completely unusable on the road.

For the most part, the Accord’s front end is much the same as it was last year, complete with carbon fiber canards and a bright red tow hook. But there are plenty of new parts affixed to the sides.

These start with new carbon fiber wheel arch extenders, 911 GT3 RS-like carbon fiber louvers, and fins on the quarter panels. It then appears as though the owner has affixed every single piece of carbon fiber trim they could find at AutoZone and on Amazon to the doors.

The front doors now each have two carbon fiber mirrors alongside carbon aero fins, gills, and vents. We have no idea how they’re all stuck to the door, nor how the owner is able to find the door handle. Things are even crazier on the rear doors. There are now so many carbon fiber wings that the owner has run out of space on the door and started to attach them to the rear side window.

Not even the car’s roof is safe. It’s now lined with a battalion of jagged little winglets, as if the car’s trying to generate lift and downforce at the same time. Technically, some of these bits were designed with aerodynamics in mind, or at least someone’s weird idea of it.

Needless to say, with this many parts stuck on at random angles, the only thing getting boosted here is drag… and maybe the owner’s loyalty points at AutoZone.
