Tiny Jeep Dune Digital Concept Wants To Conquer Your Sidewalks

While Jeep’s Avenger has already carved a niche as as sub-compact SUV in Europe, a French design studio, Klissarov, has taken the concept further. Imagining a Jeep-branded quadricycle, they’ve crafted a digital rendering that showcases the potential for an even smaller, city-focused electric vehicle under the Jeep umbrella. By leveraging Stellantis’ vast parts bin, this concept explores a new frontier for the off-road brand.
This hypothetical mini-Jeep could tap into the growing urban mobility market, offering a blend of Jeep’s rugged image with the practicality of a small, electric vehicle.

Called the Jeep Dune, it exists solely in the digital world. However, unlike other independent projects, this one is based on existing production vehicles. Specifically, it’s envisioned as Jeep’s version of the Citroen Ami, Opel Rocks Electric, and Fiat Topolino triplets, retaining their L6e classifications but featuring a completely redesigned body.
Like the aforementioned EVs, the Jeep concept is tiny, measuring 2,410 mm (94.9 inches) long, 1,390 mm (54.7 inches) wide, and 1,520 mm (59.8 inches) tall. The Dune has similar proportions to the Citroen Ami Buggy and benefits from a symmetrical body layout to reduce costs.
Jeep-specific styling is highlighted by the seven-slot grille flanked by round LED headlights, and the flat surfacing on the custom-designed body. Additionally, features like the semi-exposed wheels, half doors, tubular frame, and the spare wheel mounted at the back, give it an appearance of a mini Wrangler.
The concept also offers various personalization options, such as Hydro-Dipping graphics for the bodywork, upgradable front and rear fascias, and customizable storage compartments for different types of activities.
Despite its adventurous looks, the technical specifications of the Jeep Dune are quite modest. The heavy quadricycle shares the electric powertrain of the Citroen Ami, featuring an 8 hp (6 kW / 8 PS) electric motor and a 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. The L6e segment imposes performance limitations, with a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), allowing these vehicles to be driven by individuals as young as 14 years old in certain European countries.

While the idea of Jeep entering the heavy quadricycle segment might seem far-fetched, a limited-production Dune alongside Jeep-branded electric bikes or scooters could broaden the brand’s appeal. However, this pint-sized EV’s capabilities are strictly confined to urban jungles, leaving the brand’s core off-road identity intact.
