This Wild Mustang Is The Definition Of A Love It Or Hate It Build

We suspect some will love this pony car, but it’s sure to spark plenty of mixed opinions

Sometimes, widebody kits work brilliantly on a performance car, giving it a much more aggressive look. However, occasionally adding flared arches and revamped front and rear fascias goes a little too far, and that’s what we think has happened with this Mustang GT. That said, if you’re the type of person who really wants to stand out from the pack, you may find it to be just perfect.

This crazy S550 has been fitted with a widebody kit from Clinched, a company based out of North Carolina. Made from ABS plastic, it looks as if it took some cues from the work of Liberty Walk and includes crazy front and rear flared fenders that appear to be directly riveted or screwed into the original quarter panels.

Each arch looks at least four inches wider than the original, transforming the stance of the car and making it look much more aggressive. The Clinched kit also includes a much more pronounced front splitter that appears to be affixed to the original bumper. We’d be extremely paranoid about scuffing it if we were driving around in this Mustang, but there’s certainly no mistaking this Ford from any other.

The kit also adds new side skirts, while the car has also been slammed on a new suspension and sits on a set of custom-made ESR wheels with a white finish. Then there’s the wrap that’s just as over-the-top as the bodykit.

The wrap has been brought to life by Inozetek and the color is known as Pearl Urban Bamboo. It has a light greenish tint that leans toward turquoise, but when the sunlight hits it just right, it reveals a golden gleam that makes you wonder if they dipped the car in a bottle of highlighter.

Divisive Looks Or Not, This ‘Stang Is Its Owner’s Dream

Love it or hate it, this thing is undeniably unique. The owner proudly calls it his dream Mustang, and frankly, that’s what really matters here. Whether it’s your style or not, Clinched’s creation makes one thing clear: it’s built to stand out, and that’s exactly what it does.
