Only the shape of the roof and the door skins give away this Nissan’s real identity

- Custom 350Z blends Porsche Slantnose styling with bespoke panels.
- Rear fascia features 992-gen 911 taillights, light bar, and custom diffuser.
- The build received an award at the recent Slantnation event in Osaka.
Earlier this year, a rather unconventional Nissan 350Z made headlines for its unusual combination of a Porsche 911 rear fascia and a Maserati GranTurismo front end. The result wasn’t exactly a visual triumph.
Now, another 911-inspired 350Z has surfaced in Japan, but this one is an entirely different story. Taking cues from the classic 911 Slantnose and blending them with modern design elements, it stands out for all the right reasons.

Built by Instagram user Catasy_935Z, the car features custom-made body panels and now actually shares very little in common with its former self. With a keen eye for detail, the owner has been able to perfectly marry the Nissan and Porsche parts, creating what could very well be the best-looking Z on the planet.
The transformation started with a bespoke front end, similar to the 911 Slantnose. It includes thin LED daytime running lights, air intakes similar to the current 911, and a large blacked-out front splitter. Bespoke front quarter panels were also crafted for the car. At the time, the rear end of the car remained mostly standard 350Z, albeit with some aftermarket parts.
A Match Made In Heaven
More recently, the rear end has been transformed to match the front. It now includes hand-crafted quarter panels and uses the LED light bar and taillights of a 992-generation Porsche 911.
Sitting above the like is a custom tailgate with a ducktail-style lip spoiler, while the lower part of the rear-end includes a custom rear diffuser. Now, the only tell-tale sign of this being a 350Z is the shape of the roof, the side windows, and the door skins.
Rounding out the visual upgrades are a set of aftermarket wheels that sit perfectly within the car’s custom arches.
There’s no word on whether powertrain changes have been made to the car, but given the exterior upgrades made, we’d be very surprised if the owner hadn’t also worked his magic on the engine. A couple of months ago, the car walked away with an award at the Stancenation event in Osaka, Japan, and if you ask us, it’s fitting of even more awards.
