Jeep Launches Cherokee Configurator And Details Lineup

The $41,095 Cherokee Limited appears to be the sweet spot in terms of pricing and equipment

Jeep introduced the 2026 Cherokee last night and it’s an interesting crossover that’s significantly larger than its predecessor. The model also has a hybrid powertrain, which returns an impressive 42 mpg city, 33 mpg highway, and 37 mpg combined.

While Jeep officials told us a lot about the Cherokee at a media preview a few weeks ago, they were surprisingly coy on equipment details. That’s changing today as the automaker has revealed more information and launched a configurator.

The entry-level Cherokee starts at $35,000 and features a boxy exterior with LED lighting units, tinted rear windows, and rain-sensing wipers. They’re joined by an acoustic windshield and 18-inch wheels.

The minimalist interior sports a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Buyers will also find a leatherette steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a six-speaker audio system, and cloth seats with manual adjustment.

Despite its entry-level status, the Cherokee comes with a host of driver assistance systems. These include Active Driving Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and Blind-Spot / Cross-Path Detection. They’re joined by Full-Speed Forward-Collision Warning Plus, Intersection Collision-Assist, and ParkSense Rear Park-Assist with Stop.

Buyers looking for more luxury can upgrade to the Cherokee Laredo, which begins at $38,595. It features an upgraded interior with fancier cloth seats as well as eight-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. The model also has heated front seats, remote start, and second-row USB-C ports.

The $41,095 Cherokee Limited ups the ante with a power liftgate as well as power-folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals. Bigger changes occur in the cabin, which features Capri leatherette seats with power adjustment on both sides. Other niceties include a heated steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a universal garage door opener.

Sitting at the top of the lineup is the $44,595 Cherokee Overland. It’s distinguished by larger 20-inch wheels and a foot-activated power liftgate. Customers can also get an optional two-tone exterior, which is offered in four different color combinations.

The upgrades extend to the cabin, which comes with 10-way power front seats that are wrapped in uniquely perforated Capri leatherette upholstery. Other highlights include GPS navigation, a panoramic sunroof, and a nine-speaker Alpine premium audio system with a subwoofer.

While that’s just scratching the surface, you can play around with the 2026 Jeep Cherokee configurator and build your perfect crossover. However, options are fairly limited, especially on lower end trims.

As we’ve previously reported, all models are equipped with a hybrid powertrain that consists of a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, a continuously variable transmission, two electric motors, and a 1.08 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This gives the crossover a combined output of 210 hp (157 kW / 213 PS) and 230 lb-ft (312 Nm) of torque.
