If you’re into JDM legends, an R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R in Bayside Blue doesn’t get much more collectible than this. Up for sale now, this beauty is one of just 4,194 V-Spec models produced in 1999, and it’s got a striking resemblance to the car Paul Walker drove in Fast & Furious 4. So, if you’ve ever dreamed of owning the Fast & Furious car without the Hollywood price tag, this could be your chance.

This Skyline GT-R appears to have lived out most of its life in Japan before being imported into the United States earlier this year. It has been driven about 26,000 miles (41,000 km), and has clearly been well cared for over the past 26 years. With a design that has stood the test of time and arguably looks better now than it did new, it’s little wonder that so many people are scrambling to buy an R34.

According to the listing on Bring a Trailer, this car comes with a few notable upgrades. These include Ohlins shocks, 18-inch Enkei wheels, Nismo stabilizer bars, an IMPUL ECU tune, an upgraded intercooler, a new oil cooler, and an Apex’i boost controller. Perhaps more important is the fact that it retains the original HICAS rear-wheel steering system and the twin-turbocharged setup, despite many GT-Rs now being modernized with more powerful and simpler single-turbo setups.

There’s no word on how much the RB26 2.6-liter inline-six produces, but it likely has over 400 hp on tap in its current configuration. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drive system, this GT-R V-Spec can probably hang with many modern performance cars down the quarter mile or around a racetrack.
A Skyrocketing Market
Prices for R34 GT-Rs have soared in recent years, so much so that some of the rarer versions are worth more than $1 million. This V-Spec obviously won’t come close to matching the $1.35 million V-Spec that Walker drove in Fast & Furious 4, but there’s already plenty of interest in it, and the bids continue to roll in.
