According to an Ayurvedic doctor, if you mix some other grains with wheat and grind it, it becomes nutritious and also controls blood sugar levels. District AYUSH Medical Officer Dr Prabhat Kumar said that in earlier times people used to prepare and eat chapati from various grains and it was beneficial for health.

It can provide health benefits through mixture or solo grinding. Two-thirds of the grains are ground with wheat and people make chapatis with that mixture. You can mix rye and chickpeas with wheat. Doctors believe that the health benefits. If you grind flour with 50 per cent wheat, 25 per cent rye and 25 per cent chickpeas. Rye is a treasure trove of nutrients.
It contains carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, iron, zinc, phosphorus, magnesium and fibre. Apart from this, it is rich in nutrients like riboflavin, folic acid, thiamin, niacin and beta-carotene necessary for the body. This flour not only strengthens the bones but also keeps digestion healthy.
Chapati made from wheat with rye and chickpeas is good for diabetics and easy to digest. Along with this, chickpeas are rich in fibre, potassium, vitamin B, iron, magnesium and selenium, promoting heart health. Chickpeas are a good source of polyunsaturated fats, which can help reduce cholesterol and lower the risk of heart disease.
