This year, the four-day long festival of folk faith Chhath concluded on Friday with offering arghya to Lord Bhaskar. During Chhath, people worship Lord Surya and offer arghya to him. During Chhath, the devotees of Chhath worship Lord Bhaskar by holding a sieve or daura in their hands and putting fruits and flowers in it. Astrologer Pandit Shatrughan Jha told Local 18 that people take a lot of precautions during Chhath. People take care of everything, from bringing prasad to everything else, so that they do not make any mistake. Along with the house, the outside area is also washed in a very clean and hygienic manner.
All these precautions are taken during Chhath only because if any mistake is made during Chhath, then it can have adverse effects on people. So, people should also be careful about the use of soup and daura. He said that we should be very cautious about using daura.
Jyotishacharya shared that daura used during Chhath should be used in household works. Using it in household works is considered very auspicious. If one cannot use it for household work, then you should never do anything like throw dirt or garbage in it. He said that if one cannot use it in your household work, then they can also donate it to someone who can use it in household work.
