So, if you’re not really feeling the whole long-haul flight thing but still want to soak up some exotic vibes, Morocco is the perfect pick for a short-haul getaway.
Flights to Marrakesh, one of the more popular cities, will also only cost you around £40 return on certain dates in April and May, according to Skyscanner.

Marrakesh, dubbed the Red City, is a sensory overload of sights, sounds, and smells but it is easy to get away from the hustle and bustle and take a trip to one of the country’s many natural gems.
One attraction is the Ouzoud Waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains where you can trek through a maze of olive trees and take a boat ride under the waterfall.
Morocco’s amazing landscapes make for unique attractions for holidaymakers looking for an adventure. You can trek through the Sahara Desert on a camel and spend the night under the stars in a traditional camp.
There are also plenty of other quirky and once-in-a-lifetime activities to take part in including riding in a hot air balloon over mountains or riding through the African desert on quad bikes.

Morocco is also great value for money and much more affordable compared to Europe or North America.
There are plenty of budget-friendly accommodation options such as charming riads and hotels to choose from – where you’ll typically get more for your money than in many Western countries.
The country enjoys a more temperate climate than some other North African countries thanks to the Atlantic weather system.
In spring, the weather is mostly sunny and hot with temperatures around 30C most days with minimal rain. Even in winter, Morocco’s temperatures are mild by UK standards, ranging from around 7C to 20C.
