India get good news ahead of Asia Cup 2025

India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, has started batting practice at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, marking his first session since recovering from surgery for a sports hernia in June.
Suryakumar posted a video of himself practising in the nets and wrote, “Can’t wait to be back doing what I love.”
The star batter from Mumbai Indians travelled to Munich, Germany, earlier for a consultation about his injury before undergoing surgery on June 25. Upon his return to India, he commenced rehabilitation and fitness assessments at the COE.
This marks the second time in two years that Suryakumar underwent sports hernia surgery, following a similar procedure in January 2024.

India and Pakistan to Clash in Group A of Upcoming Tournament
India and Pakistan have been drawn into the same group for the upcoming tournament, alongside the UAE and Oman. The two teams will meet on September 14 at the Dubai International Stadium. There is also a chance of the two meeting in the Super Four stage. Group B features Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. The two top teams from each group will progress to the Super Four stage.
India are the current champions, having clinched the 2023 title with a win over Sri Lanka in the final. On the other hand, Sri Lanka are the T20 champions, having defeated Pakistan in the 2022 final.
