Massive waterpark launches new outdoor pool – it took a week to fill | World | News

A huge European waterpark has unveiled its new swimming pool that took a whole week to fill up. The Svømmepøl in Rulantica at Europa-Park Resort in Germany will be open all year round, and heated to 32C. The 660sqm pool boasts a range of features, including a swim-up bar, which has room for 150 people; geysers, mist, and an infinity area. There is also a rock cave, complete with bubbling water loungers. Moreover, visitors can also enjoy a discovery tour with mascot ‘Snorri’, The Sun reports.

EAP Magazine quotes Europa-Park’s owner, Ronald Mack, as saying: “With ‘Svømmepøl’, we are expanding Rulantica’s year-round offering with a spacious and fascinatingly designed outdoor pool that promises both relaxation and adventure. The numerous details and special features create an impressive bathing experience and once again set new standards in innovative water attractions.”

The indoor water park within Europa-Park spans a total area of around 32,600 square metres.

The resort, which was opened in 2019 and open daily from 9.30am until 10pm, has a themed hotel for guests.

Its website says visitors can “discover the mysticism and beauty of the north while enjoying the southern Baden sun”.

The park adds that Rulantica offers “one of the most beautiful indoor and outdoor water experiences in Europe”, and, in the summer, its outdoor area attracts visitors of all ages.

This 24,000 square metre area features splashing water attractions, two heated outdoor pools, sandy beaches with sunbathing areas and lots of slides.

But the “eye-catcher” is the Nordic outdoor world of slides Svalgurok, which has 10 slides and over 100 “play options”.

Bosses add: “Next door, Snorri Strand provides adventurous fun, especially for the youngest visitors to the water world, with slides suitable for children, water games and an interactive play corner.

“Snorri’s Dune on the sandy beach is also a great place to relax and build sandcastles.

“In Frigg Temple, cooling off is not only guaranteed in the pool, but also at the swim-up bar, and Dynstrønd attracts visitors with its wonderfully fine sand.”
