Suryakumar Yadav played a magnificent knock for Mumbai Indians against the Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in the Indian Premier League 2025. He scored 73 runs off 43 balls to take the score to 180/5 in the allotted 20 overs. He hit 7 fours and 4 sixes on a slow track. Earlier, DC stand-in captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and invited Mumbai to bat first in a must win match.
Rohit Sharma managed just 5 runs off 5 balls before losing his wicket to Mustafizur Rahman. Ryan Rickelton (25) and Will Jacks Will Jacks (21) couldn’t time the ball. Tilak Varma managed 27 runs off 27 balls but he struggled to hit big shots. When Hardik Pandya was dismissed after scoring 3 runs off 6 deliveries, Mumbai were in a danger of getting dismissed below 150 runs.
However, Suryakumar and Naman Dhir spoiled Delhi’s plans. The two added 57 runs in 21 balls to post challenging total. Naman accumulated 24 runs off 8 balls, packed with 2 fours and 2 sixes. Mukesh Kumar (2 wickets), Dushmantha Chameera (1 wicket), Mustafizur Rahman (1 wicket) and Kuldeep Yadav (1 wicket) contributed with the ball for Delhi Capitals.
