Former Pakistan cricketers Shoaib Akhtar and Basit Ali’s YouTube channels have been blocked in India after government’s order due to national security in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attacks.
The central government has taken action against 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for their provocative and sensitive content. According to the Indian Express, the orders were not issued against Akhtar and Ali’s channels but they have been impacted by the decision.
GNN, Umar Cheema Exclusive, SUNO News, Uzair Cricket, Dawn News, Muneeb Farooq, Irshad Bhatti, Geo News, Razi Naama, SAMAA TV, The Pakistan Reference, ARY NEWS, Samaa Sports, BOL NEWS, Raftar and Asma Shirazi are the other banned Pakistan channels.
Akhtar, who was one of the best fast bowlers of his time, is famous among the Indian cricket fans for his analysis of international cricket. Basit, who is a a former Pakistan batter, also covers cricket.
