Vinod Kambli celebrates 53rd birthday amid health struggles
Former cricketer Vinod Kambli marked his 53rd birthday in an emotional and uplifting manner at Aakriti Hospital in Bhiwandi, Thane district. Surrounded by his family and the dedicated medical staff who had cared for him, Kambli expressed deep gratitude for the love and support he received during his recent hospital stay.
Kambli, who had been admitted to the hospital on December 23 for a routine health check-up, turned his birthday celebration into a moment of positivity. A touching video went viral, showing the former cricketer thanking the hospital staff and his fans for their unwavering support. With a smile, he cut his birthday cake in the presence of his wife, children, and the staff, who also honored him with beautiful floral bouquets.

This celebration came shortly after his appearance at the 50th-anniversary celebration of Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, a milestone event organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). It marked his first public appearance since being discharged from the hospital after a serious health scare. Kambli was warmly greeted by former cricketers Sanjay Manjrekar and Wasim Jaffer, who shared moments of camaraderie, reinforcing the strong bond within the cricketing community.
Kambli, now 53, has faced several health challenges over the years, including a heart attack in 2013, followed by two heart surgeries. In December 2024, he was diagnosed with brain clots, leading to his hospitalization. Fans were left worried after a video surfaced of him struggling to walk. However, Kambli reassured them through social media, sharing that he was recovering and on the road to better health.
Kambli’s ability to stay positive and surrounded by loved ones despite his health challenges has inspired many, reflecting his resilience and determination.
