She added that highlights include visits to the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Karnak, and the Temple of Luxor, with expert Egyptologists offering insights at each site.

The M.S. Nile Adventurer itself offers an intimate and luxurious experience with just 32 cabins. 

Guests can enjoy a sun deck with a pool, an outdoor bar, and gourmet dining featuring both international and local cuisines. 

Each cabin is fully air-conditioned and equipped with modern amenities, including private bathrooms and LCD TVs.

The itinerary is also packed with activities. Guests can take a ride on a traditional felucca around Elephantine Island and Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens, tour the Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika, and explore the crocodile-themed Kom Ombo Temple. 

Other highlights include the Edfu Temple, dedicated to the falcon god Horus, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. 

Travellers will also see the famous Colossi of Memnon, the remnants of a massive mortuary temple.

Evenings aboard the cruise are equally magical, according to the expert, featuring Egyptian cooking lessons, folklore shows, and themed costume parties where guests can dress in traditional “galabeyya”. 

A gala dinner on the final night includes gourmet cuisine and live performances by belly dancers and whirling dervishes.

Prices for the five-day journey start at $1,240 (£991) per person. During the day in January, temperatures in Egypt reach as high as 22C, and the weather is mostly warm and dry.
