Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Chennai Super Kings by 27 runs to qualify for the playoffs in the Indian Premier League 2024. Chasing 219 runs to win, the defending champions managed 191/7 in 20 overs. Rachin Ravindra scored a fifty-plus score but his effort went in vain. For RCB, Yash Dayal took two wickets.
Earlier, RCB managed 218/5 with important contributions from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Rajat Patidar and Cameron Green. Shardul Thakur took two wickets for the five-time champions.
