Ford introduced the much-anticipated facelift for the Puma, which doesn’t look as different as we would expect. Still, while exterior updates are quite limited, the small SUV gains an overhauled digital cockpit, alongside improved equipment. The bad news is the demise of the most powerful ICE-only 1.5-liter engine with the manual gearbox, leaving the mild-hybrid 1.0-liter automatic as the only remaining option for the performance-focused Puma ST.
Starting with the interior which represents the most important upgrade, the free-standing infotainment display of the outgoing model is replaced by a much larger 12-inch touchscreen taking up most of the center console and integrating Ford’s latest SYNC4 system. This is joined by a new 12.8-inch digital instrument cluster sourced from the Tourneo Connect sibling. The 5G connectivity and Alexa built-in are welcome additions, but the omission of physical climate controls is something that not everyone is going to like.
From the outside, the 2024 Ford Puma looks quite familiar, as designers limited their input on the fresh LED graphics for the headlights, and the relocation of the Ford emblem inside the grille, which also benefits from a revised pattern. This makes the Puma look more like the discontinued Fiesta, while retaining its sporty stance thanks to the ST Line bodykit.

In terms of powertrains, the demise of the 1.5-liter four-cylinder means that the only remaining option is the mild-hybrid 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost, which is available in three different power outputs. Ford also announced that the fully electric version set to be unveiled later this year will be called Puma Gen-E.
This is a developing story and will be updated
