Former Pakistan player Ramiz Raja has slammed the Men in Green for their flop show in the four-match T20I series against England. The visitors lost two games, and the other two were washed out by rain. In the fourth contest, Pakistan scored just 157 runs, and England completed the chase efficiently with seven wickets in hand.
The 51-year-old said Pakistan don’t have players who can play aggressive cricket. He was miffed with the ongoing experiments in the batting order.
Raja was taken aback by the bowling performance of the leading spinner, Shadab Khan. He went wicketless in the two games.
“Pakistan will have to get out of the experimental mode. Go with the proper combination, and that too without thinking about the strike rate. Pakistan don’t have players who can ruin the chances of rivals based on strike rate. You have destroyed this team by changing the opening combination,’ he said.
“The middle-order players don’t know about their roles. You are playing two wicket-keepers in the playing XI. Spinners aren’t able to spin the ball. Imad Wasim was benched despite doing well,” he added.
Ramiz further stressed that Pakistan will have to open with Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. He wants Rizwan to keep wickets and not Azam Khan.
