- Toyota offers the 2026 model in entry-level 1958 and standard Land Cruiser versions.
- All trims use a 2.4-liter turbocharged i-Force Max hybrid with 326 hp and 465 lb-ft.
- Buyers can add features through options like the $4,600 Premium Package upgrade.
The 2026 Land Cruiser has just landed in the US, and while it hasn’t undergone any changes for the new model year, that hasn’t prevented Toyota from jacking up its price tag. Now priced from $57,200 or $58,695, including delivering, processing, and handling fees, the Japanese SUV is yet another victim of a price hike at a time when the cost-of-living pressures continue to build.
As before, the entry-level 2026 Land Cruiser takes the form of the 1958 variant which has distinctive circular headlights not found elsewhere in the range. Last year, it started at $56,700, meaning the price is up by $500. Given the hefty new tariffs that Toyota is facing and that the Land Cruiser is built at the brand’s Tahara and Hino plants in Japan, it’s arguably done a good job by not raising its price any further.

While the 1958 may be the base model, it still comes as standard with a 2.4-liter turbocharged i-Force Max hybrid powertrain that churns out 326 hp and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system.
Sitting above the 1958 is the standard Land Cruiser featuring the same hybrid setup in a single trim that’s priced from $63,275, up from $61,470 last year. Add in destination fees, and you’re looking at $64,770 before options.
Optional Extras
Speaking of which, the 2026MY SUV comes with a slew of them, including a $4,600 Premium Package that adds a 14-speaker JBL system, illuminated running boards, a digital rearview mirror, center console cool box, head-up display, lane change assist, and front cross-traffic alert. Other things buyers might want to add are an $850 moonroof, a $1,395 performance cat-back exhaust, $700 steel door steps, a $1,440 roof rack, and a $805 skid plate package.
According to Toyota, the revamped Land Cruiser will start arriving at US dealerships later this month.
